Last month, Chinese company Huawei announced that it would bring the not so new Honor 3C mid-range Android smartphone to India in the following weeks.

Today, it looks like Huawei Honor 3C has just made its debut in India, so customers can give it a try, assuming they can afford it.

Unfortunately, the Honor 3C has been overpriced in India and there’s no telling how popular it will be given the fact that there are lots of other alternatives that offer better features in the same price range or even lower.

As previously confirmed by Huawei, the Honor 3C smartphone is exclusively available in India through online retailer Flipkart.

Although the Chinese handset maker has announced that the device will be available for Rs 14,999 ($255 / €187) outright, Flipkart is now selling it for Rs 14,898 ($250 / €184).

Even though the smartphone is selling at a discounted price, it’s still too high for the Indian smartphone market, which is especially tough in the mid-range segment.

Anyway, those who are determined to buy the Huawei Honor 3C no matter the costs will probably want to know what they will get in return.

For starters, you are served with an older version of Android, namely Jelly Bean 4.2.2. There’s no telling whether or not the device will receive an upgrade to KitKat anytime in the future, as Huawei is still mum on the matter.

On the inside, Huawei Honor 3C is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, which is complemented by a Mali-400MP2 graphics processing unit. The good news is that the smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM, which seems to be the phone’s main selling point.

Furthermore, the Honor 3C mid-range smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and 294 ppi (pixel per inch).

It also comes packed with 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. On the back, Huawei Honor 3C features an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

There’s also a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front, which seems perfect for selfies and video calls. When it comes to connectivity, the Honor 3C offers a range of options, including HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-SIM, microUSB and GPS with A-GPS support.

Last but not least, Huawei’s mid-range smartphone is powered by a 2300 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
