Qt, a cross-platform application and UI framework with APIs for C++ programming, is now at version 5.1 Alpha.

A lot of people were waiting to see a Qt 5.1 release, but it seems they will have to wait a little longer. The Digia Qt developers have decided to offer a little preview, in the form of an Alpha release.

This may not seem much, but this Alpha version comes with preliminary support for Android and iOS, and it can be used immediately.

“All of qtbase (Qt Core, Gui, Network etc.) is implemented. Qt Quick works very nicely on Android and most sensors are supported. There are, however, certain limitations. Some parts of Multimedia are not fully implemented and Qt Quick is not yet working on iOS,” reads the official announcement.

A complete list of changes and fixes can be found in the official announcement. Download Qt 5.1 Alpha right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
