QNAP likes to make an impression it seems, because it didn't just release a new NAS device when it made the TS-x70 Pro series, part of the Turbo NAS collection. It made sure to stun the world through sheer drive number.

Sure, the four-bay NAS is normal enough, and the six-bay one isn't shocking, exactly, but the 8-bay tower will definitely leave some people gaping.

In that order, the products are called TS-870 Pro, TS-670 Pro and TS-470 Pro and support SATA III drives (SATA 6.0 Gbps).

Al of them have Dual-Core Intel Core i3 3.3 GHz processors, 2-16 GB DDR3 RAM, two Gigabit LAN ports (support for 10 GbE), two USB 3.0 ports and HDMI outputs.

Virtualization applications will run well on them all, as will backup tasks, streaming, etc.

Prices will ultimately depend on what HDDs you choose to equip the newcomers with.
