Even though the majority of headphones and earphones still rely on cables to connect to PCs, there are such things as wireless headsets, and BlueAnt has just unveiled its latest such invention.

As many other makers of computer peripherals and accessories, BluAnt has a whole collection of Bluetooth headsets.

Said collection has now received its latest member in the shape of the Q2 Platinum, which claims to deliver 'unsurpassed call clarity.'

Said clarity can be said to be mostly owed to the overall build of the device which delivers high-quality noise reduction.

To be more specific, the Q2 Platinum boasts an interesting combination between the wind armor technology, voice isolation technology and dual microphones.

As such, one could say that this headset is, in fact, an upgrade of the Q2 which brings the benefits of A2DP audio streaming, incoming SMS and caller readout and multi-point support for connecting two phones at once, all part of the same extensive recognition command set.

“We’re committed to giving consumers the flexibility to choose the headset that best fits their unique style as well as their mobile communications needs,” says David Hogan, CEO of BlueAnt Wireless.

“With the Q2 Platinum, we’re offering a savvy color choice that accentuates the Q2’s strikingly stylish design,” Hogan added.

“This new headset has all the advanced functionality of the award-winning Q2, so it not only looks sophisticated but also sounds great, which makes it a great gift for anyone with discerning taste this holiday season,” he concluded.

The headset can last for up to 5 hours on a single charge and sells for $129.99, backed by a two-year warranty.
