A woman living in Thailand claims that, just days ago, she was attacked by a snake that simply crept out of a toilet and turned against her with no warning.

The woman says that, with the help of her daughter, who chanced to be at home with her at the time of the attack, she managed to fight off the vicious reptile.

She goes on to detail that, having figured that there was no way that it was going to turn her into its next meal, the snake simply disappeared back down the toilet.

The details of this odd snake attack

The incident is said to have occurred in Samkok, Thailand, this past Monday. At the time of the attack, the woman, identified as 57-year-old Rampeung Onlamai, was in the bathroom of her home, washing herself.

The 57-year-old claims that it was while she was getting out of the shower that the python lashed out at her and sank its fangs into her right hand. Until then, the woman didn't even know that she wasn't alone in the bathroom.

Rampeung Onlamai argues that, as far as she could tell, the python, which she describes as positively humongous, was dead set on eating her. What's more, she says that the snake attempted to drag her down the drain with it.

True, pythons usually kill their prey on the spot, and the drains in people's home are usually too small for snakes carrying a person to be able to sneak down them, but let's not get carried away by technicalities.

According to the Evening Express, the 57-year-old woman maintains that she only managed to escape the snake because her daughter jumped to her rescue and pulled the python's head off her hand, forcing it to retreat back down the toilet.

Apparently, Rampeung Onlamai is quite convinced that, had she been alone at home when the snake came out of the toilet and attacked her, she wouldn't have survived the encounter.

The aftermath of this python attack

After being rescued by her daughter, 57-year-old Rampeung Onlamai was taken to a local hospital. Here, doctors treated the wounds that she suffered while battling the python. It is understood that, all in all, the woman needed about 20 stitches.

As far as the snake behind this attack is concerned, word has it that wildlife officials and authorities are now doing their best to locate it and capture it. If caught, the snake will likely be relocated to an area where it will no longer pose a threat to humans.
