Usually, when we quit a jobs, we either try to do it in the most diplomatic and quiet manner or, on the contrary, we leave slamming the door behind us. Glory has managed to become an Internet star after penning an epic “I quit” email and sending it to all her now-former colleagues at PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC).

Glory (that’s not her real name, by the way) worked there as an associate auditor. She says in her viral resignation letter that she hated the job from day 1 but she also goes to the trouble of listing 10 reasons why Beyonce is queen of the world and Britney Spears is no match for her. Seriously.

The letter went viral yesterday, and Glory is now taking questions in a bid to try and explain herself for writing it. She posted the two videos embedded below to help her do just that.

First things first, she wasn’t really thinking that anyone besides PwC employees would find out about the letter. Secondly, Internet fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be because, since she became a viral star, she’s been confronted with racism and negativity for no other reason that doing what she felt like doing at one particular moment.

Glory says that, for every positive comment she gets, there are at least a handful of negative ones and most of them surprisingly make the color of her skin an issue. She’s shocked, and she would want people to know that this has nothing to do with race. Either way, she adds, Caucasians are a bit “crazy” too.

As for the mindset she was in when she wrote the latter, Glory says she wasn’t “mad” and she definitely wasn’t drunk: she was just trying to get something off her chest and she chose the only way she knew how.

“When I pressed the send button I felt a sense of liberation. I was just living my truth at that moment. I pressed send and I felt so free. Do I have any regrets? No I don't have any regrets,” she explains.

She can’t but agree with those who say she was very unprofessional for choosing to send in her resignation like this but, she adds, what is the relevance of that?

“I truly wouldn't argue that… I was just wanting to be uncut, raw, myself, unedited, I didn't really care about professionalism, or whatever... When you die, ‘professional’ isn't written on your tombstone,” she explains.

Glory isn’t afraid she’ll have any problems getting a job even though she admits herself she was unprofessional in quitting her last the way she did. Speaking of which, here is her resignation letter.
