We may be a bit late in talking about the Wii Shop Channel releases for this week, but with the Game Developers Conference providing quite a bit of news, it's understandable. Still, Nintendo does not rest and offers three new titles, two old hits and a new puzzle game.

On the WiiWare, you can get Pop'Em Drop'Em SAMEGAME, which is created by Hudson Entertainment, and you can grab it for the low price of 500 Wii Points. The title is designed for between one and four players and is rated E for Everyone, so parents don't need to be concerned about inappropriate material. SAMEGAME is a puzzle game where you need to match at least two blocks in order to slowly clear the whole board.

As you clear one puzzle layout, you progress to the next. The main meat of the title is the multiplayer, which is competitive and offers three modes: Fame Game is single-player with competing score; Shame Game turns that mode on its head by making gamers compete for the lowest score; Blame Game makes them share the grid in order to drive up the competitivenesses.

On the Virtual Console, there are two retro titles that can be downloaded this week. They both cost 700 Wii Points and they have been both initially released for the TurboGrafx16. The first is called Bomberman 94 and follows the basic gameplay mechanics of the classic title, while introducing a new story. The planet has been separated into five pieces and you need to put them back together. The main addition to the game is the Rooi, which appears when Bomberman jumps on eggs and can be ridden.

The second Virtual Console game is Detana Twinbee, an arcade shooter that plays around with the vertical dimension. There are, of course, alien invaders that are threatening the planet, and Twinbee and Winbee are here to save the day. The game offers single-player and co-operative multiplayer and there's a lot of fun to be had, with a whole bunch of weird enemies and some cool special attacks.
