Put Your Mac-Head Inside WWII Online: Battleground Europe

Cornered Rat Software is encouraging Mac and PC users to download the free, 14-day trial version of its massively multiplayer PC game WWII Online: Battleground Europe for the chance to have their face added to an in-game character.

According to Cornered Rat Software, anyone who creates a free trial account between March 20 and April 10, 2009 will be entered into a draw in which three winners will be added to the WWII Online: Battleground Europe library of faces. Readers should note that a credit card is required to create a free trial account. A $1 transaction may also be required to verify the card, Cornered Rat says. Battleground Europe is set in World War II Western Europe, featuring more than 600 towns and cities and 29,000 buildings and a zone-less map covering 350,000 Km (Over 217,000 miles) of terrain. Players can choose to join the British army, become a French tank commander or a German fighter-pilot, or take pretty much any assignment under any available uniform, and equip themselves with over 100 weapons and vehicles.

To download and play WWII Online: Battleground Europe, Mac owners need at least Mac OS X 10.4.5 (Tiger), a G5 processor 1.2 GHz or higher version, or an Intel processor, 512MB RAM (1GB recommended), 128 MB video card (OpenGL v1.2 compliant), built-in audio, or any "DirectSound" compatible audio card, 32xCD-ROM (installation only), 56k modem with Internet connection (broadband Internet connection recommended), 1GB free hard drive space (more if you take many screenshots, or record video), while a USB joystick is highly recommended for an optimum gameplay experience.
