About StressLinux

StressLinux is a live CD/USB Linux distribution that bundles a big number of apps aimed at testing various components of your PC, as well as the network connection. It subjects the CPU or other components to a high computational load while enabling users to monitor the temperature and the stability of the system. The distro caters especially to system administrators and overclocking enthusiasts who want to push their machines to the limit.

StressLinux doesn’t come with any desktop environment or GUI, so users should be comfortable or at least familiar with the Linux console. Since the distro has a very pure purpose, all you really need to know is how to launch the various utilities included.

The default username and password of StressLinux 0.5.111 are both ‘stress’. The root password is ‘stresslinux’.
