When it released the Kage K1 SATA SSD, PureSilicon also delivered a storage unit designed with the USB 3.0 interface. The so-called Kage K1 USB drive can transfer data at up to 400 MB/s and has a thickness of just 4.5mm (0.17 inches).
More precisely, it measures 76.75 mm x 22 mm x 4.5 mm (3.02 x 0.86 x 0.17 inches).
That said, the top capacity of the newcomers is 240 GB (MLC NAND chips are used) and the starting price is of $230/ 179.77 Euro.
“We're particularly proud of the Kage Series USB, which delivers the essential benefits of an SSD in something the size of a USB drive, while offering high transfer speeds and 240 GB - all in killer packaging,” says Jason Breakstone, founder and CEO of PureSilicon.
Sales should already be underway.
