Barry Kauler announced a few days ago the immediate availability for download of the Puppy "Precise" 5.4.1 Linux distribution, based on Canonical's Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system.

Puppy Precise 5.4.1 is a maintenance release for the Puppy Precise 5.4 version, fixing various bugs and flaws found in the previous release.

Among the fixes issues we can mention a reboot/shutdown crash, wrong rendering of colors in ePDFview and missing wireless drivers.

"This is a bug-fix release of 5.4. Yes, we did find some significant bugs and shortcomings, and fixed them!"

"There is one significant fix at the "Woof-level", that broke shutdown and reboot when the session is saved to the entire partition." said Barry Kauler in the official release announcement. Download Puppy Precise 5.4.1 Linux right now from Softpedia.
