A week ago, the 'National Enquirer' broke the news of a scuffle on the set of the ABC popular series 'Grey's Anatomy', that took place between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey. Apparently, the two leading actors exchanged words and even got a bit physical because Washington had 'some things to say' to T.R. Knight, who plays the puppy-eyed Dr. O'Malley.
It turns out that what Washington had to say to him was that he considered him a 'faggot', but he didn't get the chance to do so, as Dempsey immediately interrupted him and asked him to pick on somebody his own size. Hearing this, the more tempered Isaiah responded: 'I'm not you little faggot like [name deleted by the 'Enquirer' because 'of the extreme nature of the slur']'.
Probably in order to avoid such mishaps, Knight came public yesterday in 'People', saying that, indeed, he is gay but that he was hoping that people would not judge him only on the basis of his orientation. 'While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me', his statement in the magazine read.
The 33-year-old actor refused to state which were the reasons that compelled him to come out of the closet, saying only that he wished to address and set straight all the allegations and the rumors in the media. 'I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there', was how Knight explained his decision of coming out.
Besides the part of the good Dr. O'Malley on the 'Grey's Anatomy' series, T.R. Knight also had recurring roles on 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' and 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent'.
