Puppy Bowl X, Animal Planet's tenth annual television program offered as an alternative to the Superbowl, premieres this coming February 2 3 p.m. ET and PT, and people can expect to have a lot of cuteness coming their way.

Seeing how the event is dubbed the Puppy Bowl, even those who have never heard about it should have no trouble figuring out what it is all about: a bunch of pooches running around and doing puppy stuff, i.e. barking, chewing things, maybe even pooping when people least expect them to.

Washington Post tells us that Lil Bub, the cat that rose to fame thanks to a genetic mutation that prevents it from keeping its tongue inside its mouth, is a special guest at this anniversary edition of the Puppy Bowl.

Penguins and cats will also make an appearance, and word has it that they are almost as cute as the puppies.

The best part about this show is that the kittens and puppies taking part in it are up for adoption. Head over to Animal Planet to have a look at the list of Puppy Bowl adoption agencies & organizations.
