Pulstar, a fast and fun twin-stick shooter game developed by Concave Studio, Colorful Media, and Emagica, has arrived on the Linux platform.

The game has been out on Steam for a month, but now the developers have decided to also embrace the Linux platform.

“Pulstar is a fast paced arcade game that brings back the basic of its genre. No nonsense, just kill as long as you can to gain the highest score as possible! This concept gives Pulstar the challenge and high replay value real fans of this genre need! Pulstar also has a local co-op multiplayer, which means you can team up with your buddy to dominate the world rankings!” reads the synopsis on Steam.

According to the latest update for the game, Linux support has been added, the multiplayer has been tweaked and it's now a lot harder than before, the multiplayer achievement issues have been fixed, +10 point value now increases with the correct amount, the text spacing in GUI has been fixed, and the right button on the controller has been added as an extra button to enable Pulsetime.

The Linux system requirements are quite low, so most users should be able to play it: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Intel Core 2 Duo 1.7ghz, 2 GB RAM, Intel HD 4600 or higher, and 300 MB of HDD space.
