The awesome Flipboard app has been promoted to version 2.0 this week and it now lets you create magazines which you can actually publish for other people to grab and flip through.

According to the release notes dished out by Flipboard Inc., “You can now collect and save content into your own magazines, tap the new “+” button to get started.” Any magazine you work up can be both public and private.

To get items added to your magazine from your browsing sessions, simply use the bookmarklet. When people like, comment or subscribe to your magazines, you’ll get cool Flipboard notifications.

To share a magazine to a specific someone, use Facebook, Twitter, or Google+. You can also get personalized recommendations for what would be suitable to add to your zine.

In the other enhancements department, you’ll notice that the Search bar is now placed center-front, and it will also yield some improved results, according to the developers. Lastly, the update brings faster page loading and faster flipping performance.
