14 DAY TRIAL // Canadian carrier Public Mobile has just confirmed it will launch three entry-level Android smartphones in May: Motorola Moto G, Samsung Galaxy Ace II and Alcatel A392A. The smartphones will be available contract free for $250 (€160), $200 (€130) and $100 (€65), respectively.
All three smartphones will be released sometime in “early May,” as MobileSyrup points out. As you may have already noticed, the quality of each smartphone is determined by its price; so if you want a better budget-friendly handset, you should pick Motorola’s Moto G.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace II is also a good enough alternative, while the Alcatel A392A is probably aimed at first-time Android users.
Anyway, in addition to its lineup of budget-friendly Android smartphones, Public Mobile also plans to make some changes to its payments system, according to the screenshot embedded below.
Apparently, “customers will no longer be able to make cash payments in-store” and the carrier claims it will not be selling any data plans to new customers during its network transition; yet, when everything settles down, it will start offering $40, $45 and $60 monthly plans.
