The affordable carrier Public Mobile has just announced it will launch its first Android smartphone within the next few days, namely the ZTE N762 and Max.

Although the network operator has yet to reveal the phones' price tag, it is likely that both will hit shelves for under $200 (150 EUR). Obviously, customers will need to sign up for a data plan.

These are affordable smartphones that run Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and feature a 600 MHz processor inside.

Both are packed with rear cameras, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, microSD card for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2 GB memory included), and capacitive touchscreen displays.

It is also worth mentioning that the ZTE N762 comes with a slightly larger 3.5-inch display and a 2-megapixel rear camera, wheras the "Max" has a secondary front-facing camera.
