Owners of Windows Phone devices should soon be able to take advantage of a new appealing application, namely PuTTY, the popular telnet/SSH client.

Apparently, one developer has decided to port the app to Windows Phone, and has already posted on Reddit about it. Unfortunately, no specific info on when the app might arrive has been provided as of now.

As WPCentral notes, the base code of Putty has been ported to Windows Phone 8, with connecting and SSH handshaking already up and running.

Furthermore, the app comes with a modified on-screen keyboard that should help users efficiently take advantage of the SSH client.

Suppsedly, the application will become available for Windows Phone as a free client, though a donation option will also be included. Stay tuned for additional info on the matter.
