It looks like an alien cocoon, but it's just another wacky idea of customizing your pond. You got that right! You cannot use the device on your pool, since it's not recommended in chlorinated waters. Not to mention the cool effect it can have when used at parties.

It might be a little risky to place this in a pond. It measures only 5.5 " in diameter, it comes in electrifying colors and looks like a magical globe. The solar powered floating globe houses an internal rechargeable battery pack and comes with an embedded light sensor. The bright Led shines through the globe's UV-resistant and translucent housing to create a sphere of ever changing colors.

The best part is that the system doesn't require electricity to function. The 4v polycrystal solar panel inside the globe does it all.

How does it work? It converts the sunlight into electricity, which is later stored in the battery pack. You don't have to swim for it and adjust the functions. The light switches on automatically when it gets dark enough and even turns itself off when being re-exposed to the light source or when the battery discharges, after 12 hours of continuous lighting.

As for the material the manufacturers used, the globe is made of a resistant plastic, so the casing will not get bitten by the little sharks or the piranhas in your pond. No pool, remember?

The solar powered floating light globe can be inserted into your home or garden in a variety of ways, depending on the customer's imagination. A pedestal is included in the package to secure the positioning inside your home. There is also a ground spike that can plant it securely in the ground of your garden, making your home look like taken from a Tolkien story.

I wouldn't go that far as to put this in my backyard, since you never know when someone might trespass your property and sneak away with this psychedelic light. The price tag is around 20 bucks a pop.
