“Gentleman” is a hit online but underwhelms in the charts in his home country

Though it didn’t seem likely, Psy has really managed to top the success he had with “Gangnam Style” with a second single, “Gentleman,” which is probably breaking more online records as we speak.

However, not the same can be said about what’s happening back home in the charts, according to Vibe magazine.

Though it debuted at number one, “Gentleman” is taking a beating from the comeback song of a 63-year-old crooner.

“Psy was knocked off the top spot by Cho Yong-pil, a longtime Korean star who has been pumping out hits since 1975,” Vibe says.

“This was Cho's first album in ten years, and his fans were more than willing to knock Psy off the chart, and all the way down to no. 13,” the music publication adds.

As they say, in life, you really can’t win them all.
