The much anticipated sequel to “Sin City,” “A Dame to Kill For,” which arrives in theaters this August and credits Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez as directors, got a brand new poster with Eva Green’s femme fatale Ava Lord.

The MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) deemed it too much for public viewing and has rejected it, leaving movie studio Dimension Films with only two choices: either come up with a safer version of the same pic, or scrap it altogether, Page Six reports.

The reason for the MPAA disapproval was that the sheer robe Eva is wearing in the photo is way too sheer, leaving no doubt as to the shape of her breast and nipple. In other words, the poster falls under “nudity.”

A cropped version of the pic is available above, while the aforementioned publication has the full photo. The full-size image does reveal a bit too much, but only if you know where to look because the focus falls on Eva’s emerald green eyes, her red lips and fingernails and the gun in her hand. The caption “I’ve been especially bad” also distracts attention from her body a bit.

“Dimension declined to comment but it is believed execs are working on a compromise with the MPAA before the sequel opens Aug. 22,” Page Six notes.

So far, promo materials for the film have been particularly promising, with both trailers and posters hinting at a film even more spectacular (and definitely more star-studded) than the original. Below is the most recent trailer, in case you missed it.
