Proxmox VE (Virtual Environment), an easy to use open source virtualization platform for running Virtual Appliances and Virtual Machines, is now at version 2.0 Beta 3.

Another update from Proxmox VE has been announced, only one day after the previous Beta version. Users who run the Beta 2 release don't need to download the entire distribution all over again, just hit the following commands in a terminal to update:

sudo aptitude update sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

Just like the previous version, Proxmox VE  2.0 Beta 3 comes with some important updates:  clvm is now only needed in very special cases (it's not active by default), support for  start i18n, vzdump/snapshot related issues fixed, and countless small bug fixes.

Developers also specified that the distribution changed the Linux kernel and now runs on vzkernel-2.6.32-042stab044.1.src.rpm.

Download Proxmox VE 2.0 Beta 3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
