Well, it would really seem that accessories' manufacturers are a lot faster at getting their products out these days than they used to be a few years ago, since the first such extras designed for the new MacBook Air models announced yesterday at Apple's “Back to the Mac” conference have already made their way into the spotlight, courtesy of WaterField Designs.

As some of you might already know (and those of you who don't are encouraged to take a look at Softpedia's coverage of Apple's latest releases), the company from Cupertino introduced two refreshed versions of the ultra-slim MacBook Air (that's now even slimmer), which means that protective cases targeting this segment had to be re-designed as well.

In fact, that's exactly what WaterField designs did with their brand-new MacBook Air SleeveCase and the MacBook Air Suede Jacket, two compact, easily-stowed and highly-protective cases.

The Laptop SleeveCase is cushioned with high-grade neoprene and wrapped in a ballistic nylon shell, being able to function as a stylish stand-alone laptop case or can be inserted into another bag.

And there's no need to take the laptop out of its compartment when going through airport security, since this thing is TSA Checkpoint Friendly.

The Suede Jacket Sleeve, on the other hand, helps prevent scratches and dings on the Mac and the custom-sizing plus stretch memory of the Ultrasuede insures a snug fit.

An embedded layer of neoprene inside the bottom of the case protects the laptop where it needs it most when set down, while a finger loop on either side helps users easily slip the sleeve over their laptop.

The two protective case models should be shipping by the end of October, the SleeveCase requiring some previous online configuration in order to get a price point, while the Suede Jacket will be available for 29 bucks.
