The Humane Society in the US is going to partner Working Assets, a cell phone service provider, to offer the "Human Wireless" cell phone service supporting animal protection.

The service will be made available at no additional cost to subscribers. It offers competitively priced individual and family calling plans that start at $29.99, with all sales and services being handled by Working Assets, which generates support for nonprofit groups.

The
company has generated over $50 million for progressive nonprofits since 1985, and last year alone, it has raised almost $5 millions in donations for worthy causes, at no cost to its customers.

"The Humane Society of the United States celebrates animals and confronts cruelty by reaching out to people in communities throughout the country and the world," said Michael Markarian, executive vice president of The HSUS. "With our new Humane Wireless service through Working Assets, people who care about animals can reach out to their friends and family, and show their support for animal protection at the same time. Simply by picking up the phone and making a call, ten percent of Humane Wireless charges will go directly to programs that help animals - at no additional cost."

Customers will also have the opportunity of taking direct action on behalf of the Humane Society animal protection issues. Their phone bills will include very important information regarding issues and subscribers will be able to call decision-makers with up to 30 free minutes provided each month.

They will also be able to take their current phone number to the new Humane Wireless account. Why would this service be interesting for a customer? While getting the same quality services or mobile phones that you would get through other mobile operators, you can also help the Human Society in protecting animals.
