Nowadays, almost every Internet user owns at least one e-mail account to communicate with friends or other users. The most popular e-mail providers are surely Google and Yahoo, two rival companies that are offering web-based e-mails, allowing you to send and receive e-mails using powerful functions. For example, Gmail is the mail solution provided by the search giant that was especially designed to protect the inbox against spam or other unwanted messages.

Although the number of the Yahoo and Google e-mail addresses is huge, many users prefer to register for POP3 accounts that enable them to compose and read messages directly from the desktop. This activity is very useful for companies' employees that must be able to organize their e-mail quick and easy using a POP3 client. But the e-mail security is often threatened by multiple infections or malicious files, so the owners must install applications that can assure the protection of the inbox.

At this time, there are a lot of products that were designed to protect our POP3 mail accounts but only some of them are able to provide a powerful security of the inbox. Today, Trend Micro, a security company based on the developing of the security solution, announced a mail protection software available as a beta that is meant to keep the inbox clean.

"Trend Micro Incorporated, a leader in network antivirus and content security software and services today announced that the latest beta version of Trend Micro ScanMail for Exchange is now available. This beta version of Trend Micro ScanMail for Exchange Server 2007 and earlier versions of Exchange continues to provide businesses proven protection against a multitude of email-borne threats including spam and phishing and viruses, plus inappropriate content. The solution now also includes dedicated spyware and zero-day protection for improved web-threat security as well," Trend Micro sustained in a press release.
