Keanu Reeves is too polite to cause a scene or cut in line

The politeness and awesomeness of Keanu Reeves isn’t getting enough attention. Sure, the fans and the media will occasionally have “a moment” about how he seems to have found the much-coveted Fountain of Youth, because, at 50, he looks almost just like he did in “Speed” with Sandra Bullock, but he doesn’t get nearly enough attention for what a nice guy he is.

Fans know this to be true, ever since that viral video of him on the subway, getting up to offer his seat to a woman who happened to be standing, but here’s more proof: Keanu waited in the rain just like everybody else to get inside his own party.

Keanu is too much of a nice guy to cut in line or cause a scene

Again, one can’t emphasize enough how nice a guy Keanu is. If the fact that he doesn’t consider himself a celebrity, so he doesn’t expect to be treated as one, isn’t enough indication of that, here’s more: the other night, Keanu arrived at a party thrown in his honor and he didn’t cut in line because he probably thought it wouldn’t be fair to all those waiting outside.

Well, technically, the party wasn’t in his honor, but it was for him: it was the wrap party for “Daughter of God,” Page Six reports.

Keanu arrived at the club where it was being held and patiently waited outside, in the pouring rain, for 20 minutes, until he got in just like he weren’t a huge star but a regular dude looking to party at the venue.

The publication has confirmation of this from 2 different sources, a limo driver and the owner of the club. Both describe Keanu as “relaxed” and very down to earth, and quite possibly the nicest celebrity in showbiz around.

With behavior like this, no wonder. In a town in which throwing diva tantrums and making the most ridiculous diva demands you could imagine, a guy who is this polite and nice and considerate of his fellow, non-famous human beings is truly like a breath of fresh air.

Keanu’s appeal might be fading but he hasn’t changed a bit

Keanu himself admitted to this earlier this year: he hates it that he’s not getting movie offers the way he used to, because he’s no longer considered a hot commodity by studio big-shots.

On the other hand, at least he’s not out of a job, because he’s still doing indie movies and passion projects, and he’s made enough money to be in a position in which he dictates where his career is going next.

Keanu Reeves has been working in showbiz for a very long time, but as far as we the public know, he hasn’t changed who he is as a person – neither when he was the biggest name in Hollywood, nor now that his appeal to the masses is fading.

In the real world, we call that character – and kudos to Keanu for having it.
