After the first “Prometheus” movie left fans scratching their head and posed more questions than it answered when it promised to explain many loops in the “Alien” series, the sequel brings new hopes for those who seek to make heads or tails of the storyline.

The sequel, which is being called “Prometheus 2” for the moment but is definitely going to get another theatrical title, has been confirmed for release in March 2016 by the Wrap, just as soon as director Ridley Scott finishes his movie “Exodus” for Fox Studios.

As far as the script goes, a first draft has already been completed but, at the moment, the studio is looking to improve it and, therefore, enlisted the help of veteran writer Michael Green, who previously worked on the “Green Lantern” project to see it finished.

“Prometheus” was billed, as you well might know, as the unofficial prequel to Scott's acclaimed “Alien” series, and it's being speculated that the next movie is going to feature more of the dreaded aliens and is also going to be more terrifying, as to mirror the original production.

One of the characters from the first film that is going to see a lot more screen time is reported to be David the Android, played by Michael Fassbender, although it's being whispered that it's possible for him to appear in multiple forms.
