One of the developers working on Project X Zone has revealed that he has asked publisher Namco Bandai to offer localization options for the game, but it’s not clear whether the game will ever be released on Western markets.

Katsuhiro Harada, who is a producer working on the game, has stated via Twitter that, “I proposed localization of Project X Zone.”

He added, “Not decided yet, but it will be realized if I continue proposing.”

Project X Zone is a mix of strategy and role playing that will be launched exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS handheld, allowing players to use a team of characters in order to overcome a number of tactical challenges.

The cast of characters is taken from the rosters of SEGA, Capcom and Namco Bandai titles and the development duties are handled by Monolith Soft.

Project X Zone is designed to appeal to the Japanese market and will be launched there on October 11, this year.
