The development team at Obsidian is delivering a new update for its upcoming Project Eternity, which features information on the art of the title and its user interface, including an interview with concept artist Kazunmori Aruga.

The game maker says that he is satisfied with the feedback the community has offered on the mockup interface that was offered a few weeks ago and plans to continue adding ideas coming from fans to the game.

Aruga states on the official forums, “I appreciated the feedback you all gave us for the action bar and conversation UI. I've taken notes and been implementing ideas that are in alignment with our design goals. As a side note, being a fan of the IE games and having a lot of experience playing them has proven very useful as it helps me identify what worked and what didn’t.”

The developer then offers a little information on the way the Obsidian team is actually collaborating to create Project Eternity.

Kazunmori Aruga has previously worked as a texture artist on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series and he was attracted to Obsidian by the prospects of creating a new classic role-playing experience.

When asked about his favorite Baldur’s Gate video games, he says he likes “BG1 for exploring the vast wilderness. I can still recall the music and hear the birds chirping in the distance. BG2 is a close 2nd for its story and companions. The only title I haven't finished is IWD2 which I am playing through currently, and I will say I'm enjoying the combat.”

Project Eternity is currently set to be launched on the PC at some point in 2014.

The game was completely funded via Kickstarter and Obsidian has pledged to keep fans involved in the actual development process.

At the moment, the game has a playable vertical slice and the team aims to create a bigger scenario that it can show to players.
