Project Cars developer Slightly Mad Studios finally confirms a suite of performance details about the new racing experience. These include the PC requirements as well as the fact that it runs at 60fps and 1080p on PS4, and 900p on Xbox One.

Project Cars is one of the most anticipated racing games of the year, as developer Slightly Mad Studios, which previously made a name for itself with the Need for Speed Shift titles, has gotten many fans excited about the new experience.

The PC requirements for Project Cars are available

After delaying Project Cars several times, while simultaneously sharing more and more videos with great gameplay footage, Slightly Mad now presents the performance details for the new game as part of a special FAQ.

First up, for PC users, Slightly Mad confirms the official minimum and recommended system requirements. These are quite decent, as at the minimum fans need to have a quad-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, and graphics cards like the Nvidia GTX 260 or ATI Radeon HD 5770.

For the recommended specifications, the studio confirms that Project Cars needs a CPU like the Intel Core i7 3700 or the AMD FX-8350, not to mention graphics cards from the Nvidia GT 600 or AMD Radeon HD 7000 series. Throw in 8GB of RAM and 2GB of video RAM, and things are also relatively accessible for dedicated PC users.

PS4 and Xbox One versions run at 60fps but different resolutions

Meanwhile, console users can finally admire the official performance figures for Project Cars. The PS4 version runs at a 60fps framerate and a 1080p native resolution, while the Xbox One edition features the same framerate but a 900p resolution.

Unfortunately, details for the planned Wii U version of Project Cars are unknown right now.
