Project Cars is in the spotlight once again, this time developer Slightly Mad Studios delivering a gorgeous video showing the upcoming racer running in 1080p on the PlayStation 4 home console.

The new gameplay video shows a race around the Brands Hatch circuit, a motor racing track in Kent, England, from start to finish, in a direct feed from Sony's computer entertainment system.

The commentary accompanying the video tells that a member of the Brands Hatch circuit who had driven 15k miles a year on the track for the past 10 years couldn't believe how realistically the dev team managed to recreate the genuine experience of racing.

The video also showcases the new camera mode, helmet cam, that is pretty much like the old cockpit cam only with the top and bottom of the helmet visible on screen, and the dev has mentioned that once Project Morpheus is out, drivers will be able to tilt their head in order to get a better look at the rear-view mirrors.

The racing game is set for release in November this year, published by Bandai Namco, and headed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Nintendo Wii U and SteamOS versions have also been announced, with a release date to be revealed in 2015.

The motorsport simulation game took off as a crowdfunded project for the last generation of consoles, originally supposed to be out in 2013, before the studio decided to scrap the Xbox 360 and PS3 launch in favor of releasing the game on next-gen platforms.
