Italian group grows stronger by adding one more big name to its portfolio

Proel buying Turbosound was not by far a secret or a hit in the industry and maybe this is why so little fuss was generated. As any badly-kept secret results in the loss of interest for the proper moment of its happening, the acquisition of the UK-based high-end sound reinforcement gear manufacturer by the Italian audio gear group Proel was no coup-de -palais and each company was almost completely open to the questions asked even before this event took place.

Well, the prices aren't too clearly known yet but I guess this is of lesser importance. The main thing which matters in this transaction is that a smaller company producing top-shelf gear for large installations/stages will now be able to deliver same quality products for the "consumer" market, namely at lower prices and thus increasing sales... this is of course from the customer's point of view! I can't be otherwise than very glad to be able to buy Turbosound gear at a lower price than before, gear from a series especially developed for my smaller needs!

As from Proel's point of view... aside from enlarging the company's portofolio by adding such a world-renowned and respected brand under the Proel's banner, it is a great opportunity for them to reach and enter the sound reinforcement market with very good products.

Proel has been absent from this sector as it hasn't been delivering anything but some hardware and wiring; now, once Turbosound is "in the bag", the Italian future looks brighter as a whole new set of opportunities await to be seized and taken advantage of... and from what has Fabrizio Sorbi (founder of Proel) declared, the company "will be able to meet all the needs of the sound reinforcement sector as well as our more traditional markets." Mr. Sorbi has also openly expressed his joy that the Proel family will grow with a team of technicians with "amazing qualities".

While the basic structure of both companies will remain unaltered and will operate independently on a day-to-day basis, from this transaction, Turbosound will gain better financial backup and more resources for tech development while Proel will definitely increase verall sales and will start battling on other (until now, semi-unknown) markets.
