Michael Bay came under serious fire from fans when he told the press some of the ideas he had in mind for the live-action reboot of “Ninja Turtles” he was working on. More problems loom on the horizon.

In fact, these problems just got production shut down, as The Hollywood Reporter informs.

“Paramount Pictures has shut down a planned reboot of the Ninja Turtles franchise, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter,” the movie-oriented publication writes.

“The effects-heavy film, which was in preproduction in Vancouver, was set for release in December 2013. That date is being pushed to May 2014, according to sources,” THR adds.

The main issue with the film is the script, which is now going through drastic changes until studio bosses are happy with it.

“G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and Brad Pitt's “World War Z” are two other big projects Paramount pushed back to 2013 for reshoots.
