Producers Force Khloe Kardashian to Go Back to Brunette

Only two weeks ago, Khloe Kardashian was rocking gorgeous red hair at the People’s Choice Awards 2011, quite a change from her trademark glossy dark locks. Now, she’s already back to black – and it seems producers on her reality show had a say in it.

Khloe was officially the first Kardashian to go red – and the change was welcomed by fans very warmly, many of them even saying that she should stick to the color for as long as possible.

That didn’t happen, People reports. Only two weeks after the dramatic change, Khloe is back to her former, brunette self – but she’s promising on Twitter she’ll be a redhead once more.

“I had to dye my hair back to brown. I love being a brunette don’t get me wrong but red was SOO much fun! I was only red for a like a week :(,” Khloe wrote on her Twitter page.

That same day, she was also photographed with her trademark dark mane.

“The red was too short lived! I’ll be a red head again but today I’m being a brat because I want my red hair back now LOL,” she added. Her fans / followers agreed that the red was better.

“You guys are making me sadder… LOL most of you guys loved the red too! Soon I’ll be red! Promise,” Khloe added.

However, it may be another while until she’s rocking the red again, OK! Magazine writes in its latest print issue (story via here).

Apparently, it wasn’t even Khloe’s decision to go back to being a brunette, but rather that of the producers of her E! reality show, as they want her to change nothing too significant about her appearance.

“It all started when Khloe colored her hair. After carrying around a photo of a redhead for months, she finally took the leap. Khloe was thrilled with her new look – until network bosses at E! forced her to go back to brunette,” OK! writes.

Producers told her that such a change “messed up” shooting and editing of the show, and they shoved the contract in Khloe’s face, forcing her to go back to her previous look, an insider dishes for the publication.
