Another season of The Voice on NBC has wrapped, and as always, there’s intense speculation on which of the judges will return for a new one. Christina Aguilera, for instance, is said to have become persona non grata with the producers, so it’s probable that she won’t be asked back for another round.

Sources close to the production tell Radar Online that she’s been acting out the entire season, more so than ever before. Aguilera has always had somewhat of a diva reputation, but this time she really proved everyone on set that she was one; and the producers are tired of it.

Christina Aguilera is too much of a diva

According to the production sources, who, as expected, refuse to go on the record with their name, Aguilera made life impossible for everyone around her on The Voice, from the contestants to her fellow judges.

Because she’s such a diva, she expects to be at the center of attention at all times, so when she can’t command this kind of attention on her own, she does something outrageous that helps her in this sense.

“She was really difficult to work with this season. Tensions between her and Adam were consistent, but she also just had a really bad attitude,” says an insider. “She showed up late a lot, took forever for hair and makeup and was just very demanding.”

Apparently, producers too are tired with all this unnecessary drama, so they’re thinking of bringing Gwen Stefani or Shakira back instead of Aguilera: they’re considerably less trouble and make the atmosphere more pleasant when they’re on set.

Christina might not be back either way

Rumors of diva behavior or not, Christina Aguilera might not be back for another season either way. Right now, she needs the extra publicity / exposure for her upcoming studio album, which she promised would be out later this year.

When The Voice returns for season 9 in the fall, Christina will either have to promote the album more aggressively or go on tour to support it, if everything goes according to schedule. This means that she will have a packed summer and not have the time to go to the blind auditions across the country, let alone be stuck in one place for the live shows.

Aguilera has taken time before from The Voice, when she was replaced by Stefani and Shakira, once for her album “Lotus,” and once because she became pregnant and wanted to spend more time with her family.

So if you loved her as judge and mentor, chances are you might not see her back in that rotating chair in the fall of 2015 - and her alleged diva behavior might have nothing to do with it.
