Over this weekend (on Sunday, to be more exact), big time TV producer Spelling, age 83, suffered a minor stroke at his home in Los Angeles, his publicist declared yesterday.

The health of the 'father' of great TV series is yet to be disclosed but Kevin Saski, his spokesperson, stated that he himself doesn't know exactly how things stand but figures that, had it been worse, the doctors would have taken him to a hospital and not left him at home to recuperate. He further added that there is no case of paralysis that he is aware of and that Spelling is getting the best professional medical attention that money can buy.

Spelling is currently attended, besides a group of doctors, by his wife Candy, who stood by his side all the time.

The producer's career includes big hits like 'Beverly Hills 90210', 'Melrose Place', 'Dynasty', 'Charlie's Angels', 'Starsky and Hutch', 'The Love Boat', 'Fantasy Island' and, a personal favorite project and the TV drama with the largest audience in the past 8 years, '7th Heaven'.
