After receiving a lot of criticism, Konami has decided to patch their latest soccer simulator, Pro Evolution Soccer 6. This update is free of charge and resolves some important issues encountered by PES enthusiasts.

As always, the best content comes via the Xbox Live, as is the case here. This pact will resolve any connection problems when trying to find an opponent. It will improve your online experience and will be automatically downloaded once you connect to online play. So, log on and play, it's free!

As you know, there is a constant battle between Konami and EA Sports, when it comes to soccer simulators. FIFA has been fighting Pro Evolution Soccer for supremacy for more than a couple of years, and PES looked like the winner. I said looked because with this year's release, Konami has really blown it. The entire gaming community considers FIFA 07 to be much, much better than PES 6, and frankly I couldn't agree more.

But when it comes to sales, PES 6 has managed to outsell FIFA 07 in its debut week by over 20%, at least in the U.K. But Need for Speed Carbon tops them all.
