As the release date of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is getting closer and closer, Konami decided to surprise PES fans by organizing a tournament in order to celebrate the release of the game.

The tournament is meant for U.K. residents and will take place at the Emirates Stadium, located in London, stadium which is the home of Arsenal Football Club. As the game will be released on October 27, gamers will have an entire month to practice and polish their skills because the tournament will kick off on November 25.

The grand prize of the tournament is GBP 1,600 in cash, prize that will be won by one player out of 128. Like the odds? The initial 128 players will be divided into groups of 32 for the first and second rounds. The ones that will make it through these preliminaries will take part in the knock-out stage made-up of two legs-one home and one away. This game format will be kept until the final round, in which only two players will take part.

The legs of the PES 6 tournament will take place on November 25, 26 and December 9 and 10 at the Emirates Stadium. Entry will cost around GBP 20 and food and drinks are included in the ticket price. Those who enter the competition will also have the chance of admiring the stadium and its surroundings.
