Gamers might see a new app launched in the coming months

The development team at Konami working on the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise is delivering a new survey associated with the series, asking gamers a variety of questions about it and about their habits related to the world of football and to gaming in general.

It takes a few minutes to get through all the questions provided and those who are willing to offer information are never asked too many details about their identity.

They should also be careful when selecting answers because there are moments when the survey skips ahead even if the gamer might be trying to change their position or refine it.

The various questions suggest that Konami is evaluating how it could introduce more of a social angle to Pro Evolution Soccer and whether smartphones are important enough for modern football fans to receive more attention from the company.

Interestingly, there are no questions about the gameplay of PES 2015 or about the way it compared to main rival FIFA 15 from EA Sports.

As such, the gathered data will probably not be used to guide the development process for this year’s Pro Evolution Soccer but might result in new apps and services associated with the franchise.

Konami is almost certainly working on a new football title, which will be launched in the fall of this year on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and probably last-gen consoles.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 offers a different vision of football

The most recent football sim from Konami might have not delivered the worldwide sales of FIFA 15, but the game is solid and offers a new take on the sport, which was very much needed.

The development team has focused on the tactical aspect of the game, with a set of mechanics that require the player to pay attention to the shape of the teams on the pitch, gently probing the opposition in order to find an opening which can result in a shot on goal and, finally, a goal.

Since Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 was launched, the studio has delivered updates for it and we might see another one in the coming weeks.

An official reveal for the next PES title will probably take place in the run-up to E3 2015.
