Ricoh Americas Corporation has announced today the launch of its new Ricoh Pro 906EX/Pro 1106EX and Pro 1356EX Digital Imaging Systems. They
are the pioneers of a series created to provide better performance for a demanding market segment, as well as to fulfill the document management needs of Central Reproduction Departments (CRD), Print for Pay and Data Center environments by offering smooth integration of printing, copying and scanning functionality.

"The needs and requirements of the production printing marketplace are constantly changing, and becoming more complex," said Hede Nonaka, executive vice president, marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. "Ricoh developed this advanced new series to not only address, but exceed, the demands of the production market -- providing more advanced functionality and finishing capabilities to help businesses stand out from the competition."

The new series has been designed on the basis of proven technology, and it features high performance, flexibility, ease-of-use, and reliability. One of its critical performance capabilities is speed. Pro 1356EX is able to print 135 pages per minute (ppm), that making it the fastest printer on the market. The Pro 906EX and the Pro 1106EX can also reach the impressive printing speeds of 90-ppm and 110-ppm, respectively. Another important feature of the Pro 906EX/Pro 1106EX and Pro 1356EX series is the incorporated high-speed color and black and white scanning. Performance enhancements have been achieved, in terms of durability, through a duplex inverter, while stapling performance improvements are made through a triple pre-stack capability.

The Pro 906EX/Pro 1106EX/Pro 1356EX series include advanced security options as well. Among these, we may count a Data Overwrite Security System (DOSS), allowing users to remove latent images form the internal hard drive, an Unauthorized Copy Control feature to protect sensitive documents with an embedded message that appears when a document is copied, and a Removable Hard Drive (RHD) allowing users to remove the hard drive to prevent access.

The new series brings on the market a new feature, multi-faceted finishing options set, unavailable on the competitor's products, and it intends to reach the need for more targeted finishing capabilities. Ricoh has the new exclusive Ring Binder RB5000, first fully automatic in-line ring binding system of the industry, capable of binding up to 100 sheets at a time without the need for any off-line finishing. The Perfect Binder GB5000 is able to produce professional looking perfect bound books of up to 400 pages (in duplex mode), and with full-bleed covers.

I am fascinated by print on demand, but it is hard to find companies that export Gestetner EMP 156. Why?
