We're certain that people will have a lot to say about how dorky these things look, but we are sure there are plenty of hospitalized people who would like to read a book but can't or aren't allowed to sit up.

The prism glasses will allow for that very thing. The prisms redirect light, and thus the line of sight, 90 degrees downward. It essentially lets one see horizontally instead of straight up (when lying down) or down rather than forward (when standing, not that it's recommended).

Thus, one need only balance an open book, magazine, newspaper or, why not, tablet or e-reader on the chest and read to their heart's content. Or watch a movie for that matter.

Go here for more information and be prepared to have $25 handy in case you decide to order a pair (20.26 Euro, according to exchange rates).
