The 2008/2009 fashionista is bold, colorful and absolutely "patterned"

According to the latest tendencies on the catwalks, it would seem that designers have already come to a conclusion in terms of fashion in the near future: there's no need to go anonymous in the cold season, or the next one for that matter. All you need are some winter and spring print clothes or accessories to cheer yourself up in a stylish way. Along with the shoes, bags and other goodies that can easily add some spice to one's appearance, trendsetters seem to have remembered just how fabulous patterned gowns are.

From Dior and Roberto Cavalli to Carolina Herrera, Preen, Gucci, and so many others, the entire fashion world seems to be addicted to the next best thing – prints. Either they're floral, animal, ethnic or black & white, prints won’t be missing from any of the latest fall and spring collections.

Prada is the brand going high style, surprisingly enough, with some outstanding floral winter prints, big and almost too audacious, though well tempered by thin, single-colored belts. As it so happens, again spring encourages each and every fashionista to completely blossom – this time the clothes have an almost ethereal femininity, whether they're flawlessly romantic or urban-chic.

The black & white patterned clothes will also put you in the spotlight for a long time, with their hint of graceful, yet sober sophistication. They are definitely worth the try, especially when combined with some colorful stilettos. No need to get in a playful mood to embrace the graphic designs or the stylish stripes, similar to the ones introduced by Carolina Herrera.

Another possibility to face the cold weather would be wearing some leopard or tiger print clothes, even if not everyone manages to pull off an animal print outfit to denote class and good taste. Experts unanimously agree that one should take care not to exaggerate with the patterns – just one such item might be more than enough when going to work. For the ones always reinventing the way they look, there are plenty of other options available: for instance, you can also go for jaguar, cheetah, giraffe, and even cow prints. Either way, none of those willing to unleash the "animal" within will go unnoticed.
