Speed KillsEither one of your princes will have an option for a speed kill whenever they're sneaking behind an enemy. The screen then becomes distorted. The Prince will have several animations after the speed kill has been initiated and will slow down just before a stab or strike prompting you to tap the primary attack button to continue the animation. Should you change your mind and not press the button in due time, the enemy will throw off the Prince and you have to battle the enemy normally. The screen will go through a specific animation for the Dark Prince and you need to tap the secondary attack button rapidly after initiating a speed kill for ground speed kills. The good thing is that you get a choice. By pressing the secondary attack button only once, he will perform a speed kill with the chain. Be advised that speed kills can only be activated when your character is unseen.
Voice credits secretPlay through the game until you get to the large courtyard, immediately before the first chariot sequence that takes place during your second Dark Prince transformation. In the courtyard corner there is a hole in the ceiling. Enemies have the bad habit of spawning there until you leave the area. Stab and hang from the panel near the hole to open the exit. Climb the pole nearest to the hole in the ceiling to claim your prize. A rather monotone female voice will announce the game's voice credits.
Sand powersThe "Recall" move requires one sand tank to be used and will allow the Prince to turn back time and rework any previous mistake. It's to be used just after falling into a pit, mistiming a speed kill, or simply getting overpowered by your opponents, along with other mistakes.
Basically, Eye of the Storm is a slow time implement which will allow you to properly dispatch large groups of enemies or very powerful ones. It uses up one sand tank though. Tap the Recall button to slow down time with the Eye of the Storm power. Time will slow down to a crawl so the Prince can easily defeat his enemies or make it through traps or doors easily.
Sand Winds needs two sand tanks to act up and allows the Prince to perform a devastating
attack which knocks all enemies off balance. The damage isn't bad either, but a combo with Recall will lead to devastating results while you slash away at your, now helpless, opponents.
The ultimate sand power is the Sand Storm, and to reflect that you are required to use four sand tanks on it. Similar to Sand Winds, the Sand Storm will allow the Prince to perform an even more powerful area of effect attack. You don't need to follow up on this move since it slays your foes outright.
Additional sandWhen the Prince absorbs two or more Sands Of Time, quickly turn back time to get the additional sand once more.
Alternate ending sequenceTo get the alternate ending, you must collect all the life upgrades. This way, you'll fight the Dark Prince instead of the Vizier at the end of the game. You will also have access to the video gallery by completing the game once.
Sand Credit LocationsThroughout the game, you will encounter a lot of chests containing valuable sand credits. Remember that you can pick up sand credits from virtually any breakable object, enemy, or by deactivating the sand gates. The only sands that do not count as credits are the sands that come directly out of the sand gates after deactivating them. They can be henceforth used to unlock extras, under the Extra Features menu. Each location featured below will provide 10 sand credits.
1. The Ruined Palace - After fighting the two guards that come through a doorway, look to the side of the doorway and you will see a chest.
2. The Fortress - After lowering down the chain and fighting the two guards and archer below, run behind the buildings and leap over the railing in the back to find this chest.
3. The Lower City - After your first encounter with the sand dogs, walk down the area they came from and look to the right to see a chest.
4. Lower City Rooftops - On your way to the fountain that will transport you to the trials for second life upgrade, there will be a chest to the side.
5. The Temple Rooftops - After the cutscene with the Vizier and after fighting off the transparent sand creatures, walk over to the area where the Vizier entered the area during the cutscene and the chest will be near the door on the left.
6. The Temple - In the area where you fight sand creatures while you are controlling the Dark Prince, look behind one of the columns. This area has small circular stones and some sunlight will enter from the roof.
7. The Bowery - After changing to the Dark Prince, you will fight some sand wraiths shortly afterward. The chest will be next to a door around a corner.
8. The Upper City - After dropping from the chain into the area with the sand creatures, the chest will be in the hole that they use to enter the area.
9. The City Gardens - After fighting the last two guards in this area, the chest will be behind the sixth waterfall. The camera will stay zoomed out for this area making the chest hard to spot.
10. The Promenade - This chest is located in the back of the wooden walkway that the second sand gate guard patrols, above the area where the sand gate is.
11. The Palace Entrance - After saving at the save fountain for "The Palace Entrance", walk up the stairs ahead and the chest will be to the left by a wall.
12. The Structure's Mind - In the area with the levers you need to use to solve the puzzle, look to the right of the middle lever platform for a chest.
13. Well of Ancestors (Part II) - Near the start of this area, once you land on the section of the floor where you must fight two transparent sand creatures, there will be a small section of floor to the left that has a chest in the back.
14. The Underground Cave - On the other side of the big column that the save fountain for this area is connected to, you will find the chest.
15. The Terrace - When you walk up the second set of stairs turn to the right and the chest will be at the end of the walkway.
