The Prince of Persia, a seasoned warrior, returns from the Island of Time to Babylon with his love, Kaileena in Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Instead of the peace that he longs for, he finds his homeland ravaged by war and the kingdom turned against him.Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is equally combat and platforming, and while the two often go hand in hand, each subject is worthy of its own tips article. If you need a bit of help with the often challenging enemies in Two Thrones, try these tips:
Secret King Sword Weapon Pause the game and press: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Y, X, Y, X.
Stealth a New Tactic The free form fighting engine that premiered with Prince of Persia Warrior Within is still very much intact, but the Speed Kill system that Two Thrones introduces is equally prominent. In fact, at every opportunity it should take precedence over a straight up toe to toe battle. Three things to keep in mind in addition to the standard Speed Kill mechanics:
Awareness: You'll often find the two-eye icon pop up when no platforming challenge awaits. If you look closely after pressing the White button though, you'll find this special perspective is offering not a look at the environment, but a birds-eye view of the upcoming enemies. Use this to plan upcoming sneak attacks.
Extended kill: If you perform a Speed Kill where two enemies are near each other, don't slack off after the first enemy is put down. The animation may bridge to the next enemy, so keep your finger on X and your wits about you.
Patrol: If you see an enemy walking towards you, it's a safe bet they'll turn around and patrol back from where they came. Watch guard patrols closely, so you can time your Speed Kills.
Always from above: If
you find stationary guards that won't turn around, chances are there's an opportunity to get above them. If you can station yourself just above their position, a Speed Kill opportunity should present itself.
In short, use the Speed Kill system whenever possible. It will save you a lot of grief and preserve your health.
Press and Alter When engaged in more direct combat with multiple foes, it's important to keep nimble and active against all combatants. Don't focus your attention on just one. Unlike many games, enemies you're not actively attacking will close in and hit you from behind. Keep to one combo per enemy, pressing in on one, and then immediately back towards another, and so on and so forth.
Toss Them Fragile Secondary weapons are important to use in general, so when a fallen foe drops an axe or sword, pick it up for some added oomph to your combat skills. However, don't use it till its bitter end. When you notice the weapon's damage meter nearing its end, tap B to throw it into an enemy. The throw by itself does substantial damage.
Prone When Isolated Stabbing an enemy while they're prone can help polish them off quickly, but don't fall in love with the maneuver too much. It takes time, and if other monsters are closing in, you'll find yourself cleaved from behind.
Animation Recall The Speed Kills, as evidenced above, are vital for success, but they aren't easy to pull off all the time. If you find yourself failing the timing on a Speed Kill, take particular note of the animation as it plays out, and just when you need to hit the button. If you don't succeed and need to replay the area, you'll be able to anticipate the sequence.
Eye of the Storm Special Sand abilities take up at least one slot of sand every time you use them. When rewinding time, it's important to ration them wisely, but remember: when you're fighting sand creatures, they'll drop sand for you when they're finished off. Don't worry about overusing this ability. You'll get some sand back with each kill, so use it well, and use it often.
The Vizier, Again If he didn't haunt you enough in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, his reappearance as your arch-nemesis and eventual end-boss in Two Thrones will grant you that much more satisfaction when you polish him off once and for all.
Like many final boss encounters, the intricacies of this fight are more prominent than the others. The fight takes place in three stages, with each stage asking you to find a key skill to utilize. Initially, this final conflict begins as a duel. Use your favorite combinations to land attacks, and your acrobatics and blocking to avoid his. Remember, this isn't a standard creature, so don't get carried away. Land a couple of blows, jump back, regroup, and repeat.
During this first stage, he begins to float away and chuck giant sections of rock at you. These are easily avoided, though-just roll out of the way when they get near. The second section begins when the Vizier fills the area with moving blocks of stone. Avoid touching them, but don't get too cute. There's no real need to dodge around them, as rolling away from one will likely get you hit by another. Just run through as if they're a maze.
The Vizier takes up a station for a few seconds at a time before floating off to another station. Every time he stops, there's a wall behind him. Run up the wall behind the Vizier, and leap back toward him to initiate a Speed Kill sequence. Do this three times to reach the last point of this final confrontation. After completing the third Speed Kill sequence, the moving blocks and obstacles on the ground rearrange themselves in the air. They may look random at first, but it's really your last platforming challenge before the laying down the final blow. Navigate this sequence of ledges and beams till you reach the Vizier. Once you're directly across from him on the beam, initiate a final Speed Kill sequence. Despite the long dramatic pause when the Prince leaps, don't worry, your game hasn't frozen up-wait until the dagger flashes, tap X and bask in the glory of your vanquished foe.
I also love playing prince of persia in the psp, but look, I am really having a hard time on killing the guy in the arena. He's so huge and mean. I really want to kill him. Can you give me advice on how to finish the loser?
