Because it uses his content without authorization

The famous American star Prince is now planning to start a powerful offensive against YouTube and other similar websites which used his creations without authorization. It seems like Prince wants to hire a special agency that would search for his content and, if founded, to sue the parent company which hosts it. According to Metro.co.uk, YouTube, eBay and PirateBay are the first targets of Prince who wants to stop the distribution of his content if the services don't receive his authorization.

"Prince believes strongly that as an artist the music rights must remain with the artist and thus copyrights should be protected across the board," Prince's representative said for the same source. "The vast majority of artists have little or no control over their rights on the internet, with piracy rampant and very little regulation," a Web Sheriff official, the company that might be hired to detect unauthorized content, added.

This is not the first person who wants to remove YouTube content which was published without authorization. In the past, numerous persons and companies filed complaints against the video sharing technology because its users uploaded clips without their approval.

It all started with Daniella Cicarelli, Ronaldo's ex-wife who decided to take Google to the judge because some sex tapes were published on the page. Although the super giant removed the clips, the users uploaded them back so Google had to talk with the judge. Recently, the court ordered that YouTube is not guilty of copyright infringement and Daniella Cicarelli had to pay the lawsuit fees.

However, the most known lawsuit is the one filed by Viacom, the owner of MTV and Comedy Central who send Google to the judge for the same reason: copyright infringement. Although it first demanded the removal of 100,000 clips from the page, Viacom filed a complaint against the Mountain View giant, demanding $1 billion in damages.
