Prince, the famous singer who is only 5'2'' (1.57m) high, is now paying the price for trying all his life to look taller, as he might undergo hip replacement for wearing platform shoes very often.

According to Pagesix.com, “He used to wear high-heeled boots every day and doctors told him that may have contributed to his condition. Over the years, he has battered his body so much that his joints, especially his hips, are causing him a lot of discomfort.”

The singer is a Jehovah's Witness, and thus against the surgery, as it involves blood transfusion, a procedure not allowed by his religion.

Prince, now 47, tried to change his name in the late 1990s, requesting to be referred to as simply The Artist, with a name O(+> that had no pronunciation. But everybody started calling him as the Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

Regarding his shoe-habits, the Artist once declared:
"People say I'm wearing heels because I'm short. I wear heels because the women like 'em."

I am sure if Mr. Prince is truly a Jehovah's Witness he is well aware of the medical solutions to performing this surgery without the use of blood, it has been done on several occasions, I know my brother had it done twice. If Mr. Prince is not aware of the various options he may have, he can contact the HLC set up to assist doctors associated with several well know hospital. Regardless I do pray that all does go well for him whatever his decision is.
