Mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility has just announced the release of two new tablet PCs running under Google's Android operating system, the XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition, and info on their pricing for the UK market has already emerged.

According to online retailer Clove, both tablet PCs are expected to become available for purchase in the country in late November, and should pack WiFi connectivity capabilities inside.

The retailer also notes that the Motorola XOOM 2 is expected to hit shelves in the country featuring a price tag of £325 + VAT, while the XOOM 2 Media Edition will be priced at £299 + VAT.

Motorola XOOM 2 (WiFi) arrives on the market as the direct successor of Motorla XOOM, the first devices in the world to pack Google's Android Honeycomb operating system.

Based on Honeycomb 3.2, the new device arrives on shelves with a large 10.1-inch screen capable of delivering a 1280×800 pixels resolution, and with an OMAP dual core 1.2GHz application processor inside, complemented by 1GB RAM.

The tablet PC also features 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, along with a 5MP camera on the back with LED flash and video recording, a 1.3Mp camera on the front for video calling.

The Motorola XOOM 2 is powered by a 7000.00 mAh battery and sports WiFi 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity capabilities.

As for the Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition, it features about the same features as the device detailed above, only with a few small differences.

For example, it is smaller than XOOM 2, boasting an 8.2” 1280×800 screen, arrives on shelves only with 16GB of internal memory options, and sports a smaller, 4000 mAh battery.

For the time being, Clove did not offer a specific release date for the new devices, but the retailer said that they are expected to become available for purchase in late November.
