Motorola DROID Bionic is one of the handsets that Verizon wireless was long expected to add to its lineup of LTE-capable smartphones, and some more info on the price tag it might feature when release has just emerged.

This is not the first time the price tag of this mobile phone makes it to the Internet, but it seems that this time around things are closer to reality than before.

According to a leaked document that has just emerged on the Internet, Verizon's DRIOD Bionic might hit shelves at $587, contract free.

No specific info on the contract price of this smartphone emerged for the time being, but chances are that it would go for around $249, the guys over at Android Central note.

Undoubtedly, this would be in line with the price tag of other LTE-capable handsets on Verizon's offering, though it remains to be seen whether things will indeed turn out this way.

For the time being, no specific info on the release date of DROID Bionic emerged, though Motorola did say that they were aiming at September for making the move.

Apparently, some expect the phone to be put for sale before that, namely on August 26th, but no confirmation on that was made available.

DROID Bionic, a high-end Android-based mobile phone, was initially expected to arrive on shelves a few months ago, but Motorola decided to push it back so as to make a series of design changes to it.

The mobile phone maker was not specific on what these modifications would involve, but it seems that is will not be too long before we'll learn more on the matter.

One thing that is sure at the moment is that the DROID Bionic is one of the latest Android devices that Motorola will launch before Google takes over the company, a move that should result in a better integration of the OS with Motorola's handsets.
