Just as last year, Apple will launch its annual "Black Friday" sale next week. "Black Friday" is, for those of you that don't know, a day when Apple will cut prices on various Mac and iPod products. Black Friday lasts only 24 hours and customers will be able to enjoy lower prices on Macs and iPods in every national retail store, as well as in Apple's online store.

Apparently, this is an inauguration to the official holiday shopping spree and about the same time Apple gives the green light to the Black Friday festivities, the "holiday store hours" will be announced. Unlike Black Friday, the extended hours of operation will run trough the entire holiday shopping season.

As usual, Apple announced its plans for the Black Friday festivities in advanced but the specific discounts and sale items are to remain a secret until the day of the sale. Last year's sale included offerings of $101 savings on its iMac G5 and iBook G4 as well as $30 savings on JBL On Stage iPod Speakers and $20 savings on JBL Creature II Speakers.

The Shure Sound Isolating Earphones suffered discounts of $100, $60, $40 and $20 for the E5C E4C, E3C and E2C, respectively. The Airport Express and iSight Camera also featured discounts of $30 each and several iPod accessories were available for discounts up to $20.

According to iPodnn, last year, iPod accessories were available for a $5 discount, including the Incase Neoprene Sleeve ($15), Nike Sport Armband ($35), iPod nano Armband ($25), XtremeMac Car Charger ($15), and Monster iCarPlay Cassette Adapter ($15), while the Griffin RoadTrip FM Transmitter and Charger and Monster iCarPlay FM Transmitter were only $60 (both discounted $20). Apple was offering .Mac membership for $70 ($20 discount) and the Mighty Mouse for $40 ($10 discount).
