Leading mobile entertainment provider SkyZone and MachineWorks Northwest have recently announced that SkyZone is to publish an original mobile version of the award-winning game Prey, released last year on the Xbox 360 and PC.

The mobile game comes with all the features and stunning visual effects that made the original so successful while at the same time bringing a fresh storyline with several new locations and original score. It will be available in several formats and playable on a wide range of mobile phones.

"Our relationship with MachineWorks is designed to bring the best of PC and console entertainment to mobile, and we think titles such as Prey will significantly change the way people think and feel about gaming on handheld devices," said Neil Haldar, Vice President of Content Programming and Strategy for SkyZone Entertainment, Inc.

"These next-generation 3D graphics and familiar game mechanics are everything you'd expect from a MachineWorks-developed game, and there will be huge appeal among both hardcore gamers and mass-market consumers looking for compelling 3D gaming", he also added.

Prey for mobile has received only positive reactions so far, being described as the most graphically advanced game for mobiles by Levi Buchanan of IGN wireless. It runs on Machineworks Ripp3D software engine and highly optimized for handsets running Windows Mobile or Symbian OS. This is not the first partnership between the two companies.

SkyZone and MachineWorks have teamed up before in order to release popular titles like Duke Nukem for mobile, Stargate SG-1 or the recently released Rocky Balboa 3D. Prey is scheduled to become available through all major carriers during this summer. The agreement between the two companies includes several other high-end action games that will become available on mobile.
